The Michigan Fraternal Alliance Scholarship Committee is happy to announce they will once again be offering up to three (3) non-renewable College Scholarships this year. Applications are open to young men and women who are residents of Michigan, insured members and active participants of a Fraternal Benefit Society that is a current paid member of the Michigan Fraternal Alliance. If you know someone from your Fraternal who is graduating from high school and is planning to enroll in the fall as a full-time student in an accredited two (2) or four (4) year college, university or trade school, please give them our website address and encourage them to apply for a scholarship.
The Michigan Fraternal Alliance (MFA) is sponsoring a "Fraternalist of the Year" award. The honor will be bestowed upon a Michigan Fraternalist who is a member of a fraternal benefit society and has demonstrated dedication to fraternalism by participaing in volunteer acts of service. For more information and to nominate someone for the MFA Fraternalist of the Year complete the application below.
The Michigan Fraternal Alliance has reserved $1,000.00 of grant funds to provide an additional $100.00 to ten (10) qualifying requestors that are hosting activities with an expected cost of $200.00 or more. Any group from the Michigan Fraternal Alliance member societies can submit their planned activity for apporval. Service groups must be a member of the Michigan Fraternal Alliance membershiip. Applications, which can be obtained via the link below, will be accpeted through April 5, 2019. The grants will be collected and evaluated by the committee and those selected will be notified by the Join Hands Day Committee Chairperson, Sally Stoll no later than April 12, 2019. Be sure and get your applicaiton in early so you do not miss out on this great offer.
